First-Year Graduate Mentoring Program
In collaboration with CETL 8000, we are pleased to offer a mentoring program to incoming graduate students, enabling them to adjust to life at Georgia Tech. As an admitted student, we will reach out to you before the summer term to determine what characteristics you would like in a mentor. We will then match you to a mentor in the summer term based on your preferences. During the fall, there will be three in-person group mentoring sessions as part of CETL 8000. You can contact your mentor at any time outside of these scheduled sessions. At any time and for any reason, you can request a new mentor by contacting the Mentoring Chair. The Mentoring Chair for the 24/25 academic year is Zachary Gazzillo.
We currently have our mentors for the Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 year, please check back in spring to sign up to mentor for next fall.
GAP Mentors and mentees are expected to adhere to the Mentor Guidelines, which are available for download below. Failure to adhere to the guidelines may involve the removal of the mentor from the mentoring program, reassignment of the mentor and mentee, or involvement of the Associate Chair of Student Success.
