Thanks for coming out to our Donut Social yesterday! We hope you enjoyed catching up with fellow citizens of the SoP over donuts and coffee. Click for a brief recap of some administrative points from the meeting:
- Communicate with GAP using Slack! Slack is a free group messaging service that has just started being used by the School of Physics. We will use the GAP discussion thread on Slack to form committees for organizing our events, as well as general communications to GAP members. The SoP discussion threads can be found here. You should have received an email invitation from Ed Greco recently to create a Slack account; if not, email Simon Berman at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will send you an invitation. Once your account is working, go to the aforementioned link, then find the GAP channel on the left and add yourself to it, so you can send and receive GAP-related messages.
- We are holding officer elections at the end of the semester! We seeking to elect almost all new officers. Thinking about taking on a leadership role in GAP in the near future? Then we encourage you to contact the present officer in your position of interest now, to express your interest in running for the position and to learn more about the required duties.
- See you at the GAP homecoming tailgate on October 29!
