Solar Eclipse – 21 August 2017
Update 08/24/17: A big “THANK YOU” to everyone who volunteered and helped distributing glasses across campus!
GAP has been invited to volunteer for events during the SOLAR ECLIPSE on August 21st, the first day of the fall semester! GaTech will experience about a 97% eclipse (wow) between the hours 1-4 PM.
This is a chance to show off the physics presence on campus while helping returning students get excited about a new semester!
Volunteers may be asked to :

Distributing solar-eclipse glasses at various campus locations at noon on August 21. We need 8-10 people to distribute around Tech Green, Clough, Student Center, and at Barnes & Noble in Tech Square.

Assisting with activities around the Kessler Campanile at 1-4 PM on Aug. 21.

Ask the Experts talent to answer questions about the eclipse and related phenomena
