Programs and Committees
Started in Summer 2021 and prompted by Elisabetta Matsumoto. We saw a need for more internal support for grad students in the SoP and this was a great way to make it clear that students can come to faculty members and air their concerns.
In collaboration with CETL, GAP mentors incoming first-year students on topics like picking research advisors, how to choose the kind of research you want to do, how to pinpoint transferrable skills, and how to navigate first-year classes and open up dialogue between the first-year and the professor.
